World news
The extensive display of boats afloat and on land will feature as a world premiere the exhibition of the new YYachts Y6 sailing yacht, measuring 19.65 meters. The show will also exhibit for the first time in the country the YOT 53 catamaran with two outboard motors, as well as eight boats nominated for the European Yacht of the Year awards. The event will feature boats of all lengths, including 14 vessels of more than 16 meters, among which stand out the Amel 50.2, the Cranchi 62 LAI, the Pearl 63, or the Beneteau First 60.
On land, the presence of boats such as the Bayliner C21 OB, the Williams Jet Tender-Turbo Jest 280 MX, the Tiger Infinity 280, or the Highfield UL 240 will stand out among those to be exhibited. As the president of the show, Luis Conde, points out, "we are facing one of the best editions of recent years, with an exceptional offer due to its quality, diversity of models, and variety of lengths. In this sense, we are especially proud that the main brands in the sector are reinforcing their commitment to Barcelona. Furthermore, we are incorporating new areas and experiences that make the show the great meeting point for everyone who wants to discover, buy, or enjoy the nautical world."
New sectors and experiences
The show debuts spaces dedicated to nautical sports, destinations, and water experiences. At the Moll de la Fusta, SeaMotion will host Experience Water, a zone for product and accessory demonstrations. The Indoor Pavilion will incorporate Marinas & Harbour Facilities, focused on the role of marinas in the nautical sector and maritime tourism, and Diving, Shopping & Water Sports, dedicated to diving, water sports, and the nautical lifestyle.
In its commitment to innovation and sustainable navigation, the Innovation Dock will bring together 100% electric boats and gadgets, with an exhibition area on land and demonstrations at sea. Furthermore, the show will reinforce the usual guided sailing trials, one of its differential features on a European scale.
The general director of ANEN, Jordi Carrasco, explains how "the nautical sector is going through a moment of transformation, with challenges such as competitiveness, training, sustainability, and new forms of access to boating," which make it "a key space to take the pulse of the sector and share the vision of companies regarding the main challenges and opportunities that are opening up in this new context."
According to data from ANEN based on the records of the General Directorate of the Merchant Marine, between January and August, 4,371 recreational boats were registered in Spain, 7% more than in the same period of 2025. A positive evolution that shows the growth of the sector and reinforces the good prospects of the nautical market.
Conferences, gastronomy and opportunities
The Barcelona International Boat Show will have a networking and hospitality area with two new catering spaces at the Moll de la Fusta. The event director, Josep Antoni Llopart, assures that in this edition we want to bring together the entire nautical community, which is why we have a very transversal offer to reach both those who want to buy a boat and those who wish to get started in the exciting world of sailing”.
Marina Port Vell will host the show's conference program from October 14th to 16th, called Àgora-Port and coordinated by the Port of Barcelona and Barcelona Clúster Nàutic, where over three days 25 speakers will address in nine sessions issues such as the training of nautical professionals, coexistence between ports and cities, new forms of consumption in recreational and sports sailing, or the future of adaptive sailing.
