Normal AVE service between Barcelona and Madrid will not be restored until the beginning of next week. This was announced this Wednesday by Adif spokesperson Antoni Carmona, who explained that the work to remove the train affected by Monday's fire is complex and can only be carried out at night.

The incident affects a section of about 25 kilometers where trains are running on a single track. According to Carmona, this situation may extend journeys by between 10 and 15 minutes. The maximum permitted speed on this section has already been increased from 80 to 160 km/h.
