BarcelonaThey had been open for three days and it was already packed like an egg. Furthermore, a very diverse audience of all ages. It's not surprising, since the restaurant Romo, located on Buenos Aires street, in Dreta de l'Eixample, is backed by the success that Jorge Sastre and Rafa Panatieri already had in their renowned pizzeria Sartoria Panatieiri. In this restaurant, which has been awarded and recognized by the pizza sector – even in Italy – a Neapolitan style of pizza is served. Now, at Romo, their bet is on Roman-style pizza.

The dough with which they make the pizzas in this new establishment continues to undergo long fermentations to make them more digestible, 48 hours, but the type of pizza they prepare is much thinner and crispier. As for the rest, the restaurant offers its cured meats, which they make themselves and which we had already been able to enjoy. You can eat the cured meats on top of the pizzas or on their own as a starter. "After many years with the Neapolitan style, we felt like doing something different, stepping out of what is known to us and exploring other paths," say Sastre and Panatieri.

In the new location, in Romo, white and yellow colors predominate. It is modern and functional. At the back, you will see the oven with a very vigorous flame. Some of the offerings include the escarola sausage pizza, smoked Serrat cheese and mozzarella; sobrasada, tomato sauce, red onion, Kalamata olives, ricotta and mozzarella; porchetta with seasoned potato chips, aioli and mozzarella or the one with Catalan cheeses such as Tou del Til·lers, Blau la Xiquella and Garrotxa Baum curado, mozzarella and honey. Pizza prices range between thirteen and nineteen euros. The average ticket is between 22 and 25 euros.
