China blocks Meta's purchase of an AI startup

China has blocked the purchase of the autonomous artificial intelligence (AI) agent Manus by the North American tech giant Meta, owner of Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. Beijing authorities have ordered the revocation of the operation, valued at 2 billion dollars.
