BarcelonaIt seemed that Jorge Martín could be the name of this Saturday and that he could cut points with Marco Bezzecchi, leader of the World Championship who finished in fourthposition. The rider from Madrid was in first position in the first laps of the Dutch Grand Prix and, for a few minutes, he was only one point behind the Italian in the standings.

But finally it has been another Madrilenian who has ended up winning the short race of the Assen circuit. Raúl Fernández, who started in fourth position, has ended up imposing himself to add his second victory of the season in a sprint race after doing so in Italy a few weeks ago. Marc Márquez has finished in the same position he started: seventh. The Cerverí made a good start, but lost positions over the thirteen laps.

A Marc Márquez who in recent days has confirmed that he will continue at Ducati next season. There, he will share a team with Pedro Acosta, who finished in ninthposition with Red Bull KTM and adds another point to the general standings.

Jorge Martín returns to the front row

Martín has finished fifth and has extended his lead over Marco Bezzecchi by one point, who now has a nine-point margin at the top of the standings. The Aprilia rider from Madrid has returned to the pole position 616 days later and this Sunday (2 p.m.) has a new golden opportunity to defend first place and get closer to the Italian.

Ai Ogura came second, while Di Giannantonio completed the podium in a sprint race in which Àlex Márquez –thirteenth– participated, but not Fermín Aldeguer. The two Gresini Racing riders fell in Friday's qualifying session, but the rider from Cervera was able to return to the track after the injury he suffered at the Catalan Grand Prix.
