The Roses Town Council has officially launched an initiative that redefines the municipality's tourism promotion through the creation of four digital thematic guides. This project is born with the mission of making these publications the gateway to value tourism, and invites both visitors and residents to see Roses from a more conscious, detailed, and respectful perspective of the territory.

Four axes to discover the soul of Roses

The project focuses on highlighting Roses' most unique assets through a modern and visually appealing digital format. The four guides have been designed to offer an inspiring journey through the pillars that define the town's identity: heritage, landscape, sustainability, and local commerce.

The Citadel of Roses

The heritage is one of Roses' great differentiating values. This digital book covers more than twenty-five centuries of history, from the first megalithic remains to the Citadel and the Trinity Castle, emphasizing the fishing identity of the town and the value of unique archaeological remains that bear witness to the passage of Greeks and Romans through the bay. The landscape, for its part, is the common thread of a second publication dedicated to discovering the unique combination of sea and mountain that defines Roses. From the majesty of the Cap de Creus Natural Park and the serenity of the Aiguamolls de l'Empordà to the coastal paths, the guide invites you to enjoy the environment all year round through respectful activities such as hiking, cycling tourism, or sailing.

A new way to discover the destinationRegarding local commerce, the guide focuses on the flavours that define Roses. From fishing and fresh fish from the fish market to wines from the DO Empordà and olive oil, the document discovers the products that connect the town with its surroundings and explain a way of life closely linked to the sea, the land, and local traditions.

The coves of Roses

A new way to discover the destination

These guides invite you to discover Roses through four complementary perspectives (heritage, landscape, local commerce, and sustainability) that highlight the town's identity and promote a more conscious and respectful way of visiting the territory.

The digital format allows for expanding the content with links to videos and complementary documentation, enriching the reading experience and going beyond the limits of a traditional editorial publication.

The Roses City Council seeks, with this launch, not only to promote the town but also to disseminate its own unique values and generate a positive sentiment and a closer bond with the natural and cultural environment.

The guides are now available for consultation and download through the official tourism portal, marking the beginning of a new stage in the communication and promotion of the destination.
