Arrested for stabbing a 13-year-old minor in Puigcerdà
The victim is not in danger, although they received a cut to the neck
BarcelonaThe Mossos d'Esquadra have arrested a 33-year-old man accused of assaulting a 13-year-old minor with a bladed weapon in Puigcerdà. According to police sources, the assault occurred around 9 PM this Wednesday next to a stream, in the area of the Cucurú fountain, a natural space near the town, as reported by "The Case and ARA has confirmed it.
The police learned of the incident because the girl was taken to the hospital with stab wounds, which activated the protocol. After a while, officers arrested the alleged attacker in the Ceretan capital. The girl was with friends and her testimony has been key to identifying the perpetrator. He is a man with no prior record. For now, the motivation for the assault is also not entirely clear, as apparently the victim and perpetrator did not have any type of relationship.
The youngest, according to what ARA has learned, suffered a wound to the neck. Now, her life is not in danger. The Mossos arrested the alleged perpetrator of the acts for attempted homicide, precisely because the stabbing occurred in a vital area. The man is expected to be brought before the Puigcerdà court of instruction in the coming hours.
