A Pricewaterhouse Coopers lawyer arrives in Parliament
Ariadna Urroz, a member of Juntos in Baix Llobregat, will occupy the seat left by David Saldoni.

BarcelonaAriadna Urroz (Sant Just Desvern, 1994) has been a member of the Junts party in the Catalan Parliament since July. She arrives in the Catalan parliament, replacing David Saldoni, who is leaving politics. She is a member of the party's national executive and, until a few days ago, was also secretary general of the Catalan Nationalist Youth (JNC), a position she held in 2023.
A law graduate from the UPF (University of Catalonia), where she also completed a master's degree to access the legal profession, she currently combines her work in the political space of Waterhouse Coopers (PwC) and, previously, at Roca Junyent, the law firm of Miquel Roca, a historic Convergent firm. In conversation with ARA, she explains that activism and work are the two things that have defined her most in recent years. "I haven't had time for much else," she notes.
During her tenure as head of the JNC, Urroz supported Carles Puigdemont's leadership of the organization and argued that the youth party should "understand" and maintain a "good relationship" with the Jovent Republicà (Young Republic). On key issues of political debate, she championed "quality" tourism over "mass" tourism and opposed rental regulations, considering housing a commodity.
Taking stock of her work leading the JNC, the former secretary general says she takes away from the fact that the organization has grown over the past two years at a time when "it's difficult everywhere to get young people involved." Now she's taking the step of becoming a deputy because "it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, if you're lucky enough to find it."
