BarcelonaThis is chef Rafa Zafra's latest idea, designed to allow anyone who wants to enter the Hotel Palace (formerly the Ritz) and play at being a bourgeois for a while. That's why he's named it La Burguersía, a blend of "bourgeoisie" and "hamburger."

Let's take a closer look. Inside the Hotel Palace, Zafra has his restaurant, Amar. Upon entering, you're greeted by a magnificent, majestic bar, which now features a special offering prepared by the restaurant's own chefs. It's a 100-gram Wagyu beef burger served in a light and airy potato bun with fried onions, jalapeños, cheddar cheese, and a sauce created by the chef himself. The burger comes with a side of fries and costs 24 euros. In addition, there's a selection of sparkling wines, or cocktails if that's what you prefer, to complete the experience. The bar is separated from the restaurant tables by a curtain.

The idea behind the burger is to offer an affordable option so that many Catalans can visit this iconic Catalan hotel, which opened in 1919 and has hosted such charismatic figures as Xavier Cugat, who refused to forgo luxury in the final years of his life. In fact, Zafra's proposal is precisely that: to open the doors of the Palace with a quality burger. Through one of gastronomy's most popular products, he achieves what is known as the "casualization of luxury."

Amar, a restaurant also renowned for its seafood, He was the one chosen by Springsteen, Obama, and Spielberg when the singer was on tour in Barcelona. In fact, from the bar, while getting his hands and lips dirty, he might be able to see familiar faces staying at the hotel or distinguished diners who have come for a bite.
