BarcelonaThe Viena restaurant chain closed the 2025 financial year with improved sales, in a context it considers "especially challenging" for the sector. According to the results released this Tuesday, the company registered a turnover of 91.1 million euros in 2025, 1.8% more than the previous year. The improvement in operating results has made it possible to increase profitability on sales – obtained by dividing net profit by net sales – to 14.4%, above the figures for the previous financial year.

In a sector that Viena considers to be "based on intensive growth strategies", the chain of establishments defends its commitment to "reinvestment and strengthening the competitiveness of the business". Thus, between 2016 and 2025, the company has allocated more than 50 million euros to strengthen its project: of these, 45.2 million have been invested in the renovation and modernization of restaurants, 4.5 million in production centers, and one million in central offices.

All operations, as the group points out, have been carried out without having to resort to external financing. Viena closed the financial year maintaining a positive net treasury position – that is, the amount of immediate liquid resources is greater than short-term debts – which allows it to finance ordinary activity and investments.

For the company's president and CEO, Marc Siscart, "sustained growth and financial solidity allow for continuous reinvestment in the project and strengthening the company's competitiveness, maintaining independence and a long-term perspective".

With a network of 47 establishments, Viena has also adapted over the last few years to new consumer habits. In this regard, the premises have reconfigured their spaces to respond to the different meals of the day, as well as to face the rise of the digital channel. Today, one out of every three orders that enter the restaurants arrive via online.

Founded in Sabadell in 1969, Viena has a workforce of 1,554 people distributed mainly throughout Catalonia, with a presence also in Andorra. Its facilities in the co-capital of Vallès Occidental internally prepare cured meats, bread, and other products, and each restaurant cooks fresh recipes daily, including options for celiacs with a process certified by the Celiac Association of Catalonia.
