The Brazilian Anna Bella Geiger receives the Velázquez Prize for plastic arts at 93 years old

Anna Bella Geiger (Rio de Janeiro, 1933) has been awarded the Velázquez Prize for Plastic Arts, endowed with 100,000 euros. Geiger is a pioneer of decolonization in art. The jury highlights her "permanent experimentation" and "a pedagogical commitment that has impacted different generations".
