The German actress Elke Sommer, one of the stars of A Shot in the Dark, has died at the age of 85. Discovered by Vittorio De Sica, she rose to prominence in Italian cinema and made the leap to Hollywood, where she starred in The Prize with Paul Newman, for which she won a Golden Globe.
