Bands of high clouds before a very sunny weekend

BarcelonaThe mercury has climbed with enthusiasm this Thursday, with highs of more than 36 or 37 ℃ in L'Alt Empordà, El Segrià and in points of the pre-coastal area, but this thermal rise has its days numbered because on Friday we will experience a notable drop in temperature. Subsequently, however, it will rise again progressively, always around the climatic average and without extremes anymore.

Friday: temperature drop

We will reach the gates of the weekend with a Friday dominated by high clouds, which will circulate across the sky and leave it overcast everywhere for many moments of the day, although there will also be quite a few spells of sunshine. The mercury will drop moderately practically everywhere, except for points on the coast, where it could rise a little, and the maximums will be much shorter than on Thursday. The atmosphere will remain warm, normal for these final days of meteorological summer.

Weekend with more heat

The anticyclone will maintain its absolute dominance this weekend, with weather dominated by the presence of the sun, good news for those who want to enjoy the beach or outdoor activities on the last weekend of August. The temperature will rise, both Saturday and Sunday, and could again reach 33 to 35 ℃ in Ponent towards Sunday.
