The Spanish Football Federation dismisses the referees' leadership
The new leadership of the Technical Committee of Referees is expected to be announced on July 2.

BarcelonaThe Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) has announced a comprehensive overhaul of the leadership of the Technical Committee of Referees (CTA), affecting all positions within the institution: its president, Luis Medina Cantalejo; the head of VAR, Carlos Clos Gómez; the deputy president, Antonio Rubinos; and the vice presidents, Vicente Lizondo, Bernardino González, and José Luis Lesma. Medina Cantalejo had held the position for almost four years.
The Federation, in a statement, assured that the decision is in line with the "work carried out by the refereeing system reform group, which includes representatives of the refereeing community, professional clubs, and the Federation itself." The new structure of the Committee is expected to be made public on July 2, and it "will take on the challenge of continuing to advance along lines of professionalism, rigor, and proximity to all levels of football," according to the RFEF.
