The footballer was substituted at half-time, a change that was interpreted at the time as a rotation by Flick to give minutes to a teammate. The reality is that he had felt discomfort. At that moment, alarms were already ringing, and this Monday it has been confirmed that he will have to go under the knife. In the statement, Barça has not specified the recovery time, but the need for surgery –conservative treatment could not be performed– prolongs the recovery process, which in these cases is between two and three months.
