Family vacations: the Pere Tarrés Foundation's family leisure and relaxation program
"We March as a Family" encompasses 11 different programs, spread across mountain, inland, and beach resorts, with the aim of meeting all family vacation preferences.

The Pere Tarrés Foundation's "Vamos en familia" program offers an accessible, fun, and educational alternative for families looking to spend a few days on vacation, enjoy a long weekend, or spend a weekend without having to worry about logistics, activities, or day-to-day planning. With stays starting July 26th, this program takes place in summer camps and youth hostels throughout Catalonia, taking advantage of the time when these facilities stop hosting school camps.
The objective is clear: to create a space for families to relax and socialize, offering an experience where educational leisure, nature, and quality time between parents and children take center stage. All this in a welcoming environment, with private rooms per family (most with ensuite bathrooms), full-board service with their own kitchen, and activities guided by instructors with training and experience in educational leisure.
More than just a vacation
The program responds to the growing need of many families to find time and space to rest, disconnect, and reconnect with family members.
Activities are organized by time slot (morning, afternoon, and evening) and are tailored to the children's ages. The program includes excursions, workshops, cooperative games, evenings, and visits to places of interest, all facilitated by teams of instructors who are familiar with the area and work with a recreational approach. Furthermore, the team not only acts as facilitators but also plays an active role in creating a safe and respectful environment, promoting values such as cooperation, respect, and active participation.
One of the key features of the program is the combination of conviviality and privacy. During the stay, each family has their own room and dining table, but shares common spaces and activities with other families. This interaction between adults and children fosters a sense of community and encourages bonding.
The full-board service includes breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner, with home-cooked meals tailored to special diets and needs. Picnics are offered on excursions. Along with meals, basic room maintenance is also provided by the homestay team during your stay.
Affordable prices and two stay options
Prices are around €50 per night per adult and €36 per child, and include accommodation, meals, activities, and materials, as well as bed linen and towels. Children under 3 stay free.
The program is offered in two modes: with scheduled activities or "on your own," where families can use the facilities without participating in any specific activities—although they will always receive guidance and suggestions for outings on their own. For those who prefer an active, shared stay, the activity option guarantees quality programming throughout their stay.
Beyond its vacation-focused aspect, the program has a charitable dimension: the income generated is reinvested in the social work of the Pere Tarrés Foundation, which works to ensure that children in vulnerable situations can also enjoy a summer camp experience. Thus, one family's vacation can help make another's vacation possible.
