One arrested for the violent death of a man in a Nou Barris apartment

BarcelonaThe Mossos d'Esquadra have arrested a man allegedly linked to the violent death of another person this Thursday in the Nou Barris district of Barcelona. As the ARA has learned, around 12:40 PM, agents of the Guàrdia Urbana found a wounded and bloodied man leaving a residence. Despite his critical condition, he tried to grab a motorcycle but fell to the ground. At that moment, the agents alerted the Mossos d'Esquadra and the Emergency Medical System (SEM).

The Catalan police deployed several patrols, while the SEM mobilized four ambulances. Medical professionals found the man in a very serious condition, performed resuscitation maneuvers, and transferred him to the Vall d'Hebron hospital for medical assistance. Despite efforts, the victim ended up dying. The Criminal Investigation Division (DIC) of the Mossos d'Esquadra has taken charge of the investigation to clarify the circumstances of the crime.

As the ARA has learned, the Catalan police accessed the residence where the victim is suspected to have been attacked, among other reasons, to check if the alleged aggressor was still inside. However, they found no one there. In fact, a neighbor reportedly alerted that the alleged killer had fled the scene.

Later in the afternoon, the municipal tow truck took away a sealed motorcycle that was parked on Almansa street, at number 17, and which could be related to the case. Several Mossos officers guarded it until the vehicle removal service arrived. The motorcycle was parked a few meters from the residence, located at number 41 Casals street, where scientific police agents and other members of the force had been working.
