Sánchez defends himself from the attacks of PP and Vox: "I may be a 'dog' but I have no master"

"We have nothing to hide," the Spanish Prime Minister argued during the first control session after the summer break. Sánchez has assured that his executive "does not accept blackmail from any party, any country, or any power." "I may be a dog, but I have no master," retorted the socialist leader, referring to the nickname Perro Sanxe.Both Alberto Núñez Feijóo and Santiago Abascal have attacked him over the situation in the autonomous city, warning that the ballot boxes "will make him pay" for the fact that he has "left his country unprotected." "If Morocco sings, you are gone," stated the PP leader, who described the Spanish president as a political leader whose "freedom is conditioned by the fact that many people continue to remain silent." In the same vein, the Vox president said that "Spain cannot continue to be a Moroccan protectorate," to which Sánchez replied by pointing out the ties of the Spanish far-right with Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu. "If anyone is on a leash, it is you," he stated in reference to the United States and Israel.

Gabriel Rufián, spokesperson for ERC, also brought up how the PSOE will continue to govern for the remainder of the term. The republican warned Sánchez of the danger that would be posed by the PP and Vox exceeding 200 seats, as recent polls have suggested. Rufián thus questioned the Spanish president's prediction that he will "defeat" the right again at the polls. "How will you do it? With whom will you add up, if you'll pardon the expression? The numbers don't add up for me, and my mouth hurts from saying it," lamented the ERC leader in Madrid.
