BarcelonaThe publishing company of Eduardo Inda's far-right digital newspaper, Okdiario, paid 242,000 euros for the defense of Koldo García, the former advisor to former minister José Luis Ábalos, who was sentenced to 19 years in prison for the corruption case that affected the Spanish government's Ministry of Transport under the PSOE. This is stated in the documentation provided by Koldo García's defense—to which ARA has had access—to the investigation section of the Central Court of Instruction to specify the payment of defense expenses. The goal of his lawyer was to demonstrate that the PSOE did not pay a single euro for the defense, but instead, Inda's right-wing media outlet has been highlighted.

The amount paid by Dos Mil Palabras SL, as the publisher of Okdiario is called, occurred coinciding with the series of interviews that the socialist former advisor granted to Inda's media outlet precisely to expose, supposedly, multiple offshoots of alleged corruption that would splash the state executive. An interview section "pulling back the covers" that was drawn out over several weeks. Former minister Ábalos reproduced exactly the same scheme with a slew of interviews with Inda.

In this regard, in compliance with the provision of October 28th, Koldo García's defense provided this Thursday the "invoices and receipts for the transfers with which the fees for Koldo García's defense were paid". The first two documents correspond to a first invoice issued by the firm IDBO Consultants, charged to the publisher of Okdiario with the objective of covering the "fees, tariffs, and expenses for legal advice and proceedings for Mr. Koldo García" for a taxable base of 150,000 euros plus VAT, which brings the expense to 181,500 euros. The transfer has the same date as the invoice, November 27th, 2025, and precisely the same day he "broke his silence" with a first installment of an interview that was published in parts.

The two subsequent documents provided by Koldo García's legal representatives correspond to the invoice and the corresponding transfer dated January 23rd of this year for the exact same defense concept for an amount of 50,000 euros plus VAT, which brings the total to 60,500 euros. "The documents prove that the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party did not make any payment," the document makes clear, corroborating that Pedro Sánchez's party disassociated itself from the defense. Conversely, surprisingly, the one linked to it is a newspaper close to the PP in its harshest expression, which is led by Isabel Díaz Ayuso, as well as Vox.
