BarcelonaRamon Pellicer said goodbye on Sunday night to the audience that has followed him for more than twenty years as host of the TV3 news programs. The journalist leaves the Weekend newscast, where he had worked in front of the cameras for twelve years, and is leaving with his set colleague, Cristina Riba, who will also no longer present that news program. His departure is part of the changes TV3 has made to the news services, which will bring in new faces.

Ramon Pellicer wanted to take advantage of his last newscast to deliver an emotional farewell message. "You are an enviable audience that has encouraged us all this time to offer you the best we have known how to do. Now we will take on other responsibilities, but what certainly won't change is that we will continue to count on you," he said on Sunday night. The change was sought by the journalist himself, as he explained in an interview in ARA, where he explained that he was eager to seek out new opportunities that would allow him to do reports, interviews and debates.

Her table companion, journalist Cristina Riba, also wanted to say goodbye and took the opportunity to thank her colleagues and the audience: "Thank you, the viewers, for your trust, loyalty, and support," said the journalist. "From now on, we'll see each other on the new 3/24, now Ramon. Thank you for the learning experience over these eight years. It has been a true pleasure working with you," she told Pellicer, visibly moved.

Some TV3 colleagues, such as Xavi Coral and Toni Cruanyes, have wanted to say goodbye to Pellicer and Riba through social media.
