For several seasons now, the Corporation has been searching for a comprehensive format capable of being present in the various analog and digital windows. The most determined commitment to finding this program is The Renaissance, a transmedia project by En Peyu that will be broadcast on Catalunya Ràdio but will also have a separate version for the 3Cat platform and for television, as well as a podcast version and presence on the 3Cat YouTube channel.

The Renaissance wants to be heir toThe bunker, the program that Peyu presented with Jair Domínguez and Neus Rossell since 2020 and which comes to an end this season with good audience results: 96,000 listeners, 40,000 more than it had in July of last year. Those responsible for the Corporation ask it to maintain the same universe of topics and references and the same humorous tone. In this case, the comrades in arms will be the comedy duo formed by Fel Faixedas and Carles Xuriguera, founders of Teatre de Guerrilla; the composer, singer of Obeses and actor Arnau Tordera; the actress Mercè Martínez, and the comedian Àlex Vila.

The program will be set in a noucentista athenaeum, with the audience distributed at tables like a cafe from the late 19th century, and will have a strong cultural outreach aspect and focus on the language. There will also be a comprehensive view of the country, which goes beyond Barcelona-centrism. The format will have an air of late show, with live performances, guests and comedy segments. Among the regular sections there will be We walk the dog, a capsule of sound fiction that invites the listener to take a journey through universal history... accompanied by a dog. In each episode, listeners can propose their pet as the protagonist of the tour.

Although the program's placement in the schedule has yet to be finalized, the plan is for it to occupy the time slot from twelve to one in the afternoon and to be included as the last hour ofThe morning of Catalunya Ràdio, in the strip that currently hosts the Don't let him get out of there. The laundry program would then jump to six in the evening, to work as the last hour of The afternoon of Catalunya Ràdio.

From here on, and apart from being able to listen to it in podcast format, The Renaissance will have a version with images, re-edited in a different way, which can be seen on the 3Cat platform. In addition, it will be broadcast at night –in a time slot yet to be determined– on the 33.

With the arrival of The RenaissanceCatalunya Ràdio has finalized its programming for next season, at least for weekdays. Other notable changes include the arrival of Francesc Garriga from the Washington bureau to take over the afternoon program previously hosted by Elisenda Carod. Carod is also returning to the regular service program. The solution at noon - and also the relief taken by Marta Romagosa from the historic The Night of the Ignorant, due to the retirement of Xavier Solà, who had been presenting it since 2010.
