Rosalía, nominated for seven Latin Grammys
The artist from Sant Esteve Sesrovires is one of the favorites of the next edition of the awards
BarcelonaRosalía adds seven nominations to the upcoming edition of the Latin Grammys. The singer is nominated in the top category of Best Album for her latest record, Lux, which is also nominated for Best Alternative Music Album, and the single La perla gathers three more nominations for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Song. In addition, Rosalía is nominated in the category of Best Portuguese Language Song for Memória and in the Best Music Video category for Sauvignon Blanc. In total, the singer from Sant Esteve Sesrovires is nominated in seven categories, below the nine nominations she achieved at the 2022 Latin Grammys.
The most nominated artist of this edition of the Latin Grammys is the Mexican Edgar Barrera, with 10 nominations. He is followed by Rosalía, Karol G, Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso, and Jorge Drexler with seven nominations each. Rosalía has a total of 31 career nominations at the Latin Grammys, of which she has currently won eleven awards. The gala for the 27th edition of the Latin Grammys will be held in Las Vegas on November 12th.
Rosalía's first nomination at the Latin Grammys came in 2017 as Best New Artist, and the following year she already added five nominations for Malamente, from which she won the awards for Best Alternative Song and Best Urban Fusion. In 2019, she was nominated in five categories and took home the awards for Album of the Year and Best Contemporary Pop Album for El mal querer, in addition to the award for Best Urban Song for Con altura, shared with El Guincho and J. Balvin.
In 2020, she won the award for Best Urban Song again for Yo x ti, tú x mí, shared with Ozuna, and also for Best Short Form Music Video for TKN, with Travis Scott. In 2022, Motomamiwon the award for Album of the Year, Best Alternative Music Album, and Best Recording Package.
If Rosalía wins the award for Album of the Year for Lux, she will have succeeded in winning the most important award at the Latin Grammys with all three of her albums.
