Police recover missing Picasso, who may not have left Madrid.

BarcelonaThe case of the rocambolesca disappearance of a Picasso gouache that was to be exhibited in Granada has ended well. The police have announced on their X account that they have recovered the work. Although they do not give the details, they now believe that the work, titled Still life with guitar, never made it onto the transport truck that was supposed to transport it from Madrid to Granada along with around fifty other works. The only thing that emerged was that the packaging suggested it was the missing work, which was insured for around €600,000. The Historical Heritage Brigade is continuing its investigation.

Still life with guitar It was supposed to be part of the Caja Granada Foundation exhibition Still Life. The Eternity of the Inert, but since the packaging was not numbered, when the foundation's technicians received the works they signed the carrier's delivery note and did not carry out the corresponding checks until they unpacked the works a few days later.
