BarcelonaThere are still a few days left until Sunday's Barça-Madrid match at the Camp Nou, but the classic has already started to heat up significantly. In this case, Movistar, one of the platforms with television rights for First Division football and the Champions League, has contributed to it. On its account on the X network, Movistar echoed clearly anti-Catalan content that has outraged many Barcelona fans.

Kylian Mbappé, who had been substituted at the end of Sunday's Real Madrid-Sevilla match at the Santiago Bernabéu, heard how a part of the fans that filled the white stadium were chanting: "Polaco el que no bote" (Whoever doesn't bounce is a non-Spaniard). Polaco is a derogatory way of referring to Catalans. As captured in the clip shared by Movistar (which was part of the program aired on Monday, El día después), Chendo, the Madrid team's delegate, turns to Mbappé and asks him if he knows what the term polaco means. The French attacker, who was unaware of the word, listens to Chendo and both make fun of an anti-Catalan insult.

The content has caused astonishment and complaints from many Barcelona fans on the social network. Even X has added a footnote to Movistar's post clarifying that polaco is a derogatory term when used to refer to Catalans.
