BarcelonaThe Spanish police began the eviction of the migrant settlement located on the esplanade of the former El Guano factory this Sunday morning, the last of the large camps that emerged in Ceuta following the massive entry of immigrants recorded on July 30 and 31.
The operation, which began at 7:30 in the morning, follows the line of the otherevictions carried out during the last few weeks at the beaches of Benítez and El Trampolín. In these locations, the security forces also dismantled the camps and moved the occupants to the reception resources enabled by the administration.
The El Guano camp, which had come to concentrate a large number of immigrants, had also hosted in recent days a portion of the people previously evicted from other parts of the city.
This new police operation is being carried out with little more than 48 hours left before the official visit that monarchs Felipe VI and Letizia will make to Ceuta next Tuesday, and while the city continues to face the consequences of the migration crisis that began more than two months ago.
