One dead in a shooting at a music bar in Badalona
In the early hours of the morning, the Mossos d'Esquadra received a call alerting them that there was a seriously injured person.
The Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan police) are investigating the violent death of a 37-year-old man last night in Badalona. According to sources consulted by ARA, the man died in a shooting inside a music bar in the city. Around 1:00 a.m., the Catalan police received a call reporting a person seriously injured in a bar. Officers went to the scene along with an ambulance, and although paramedics attempted to resuscitate the man, they were unable to save his life. The confrontation took place inside the A8 nightclub, located at number 89 on Sant Lluc Street, in the Badalona Sud industrial park. The establishment is run by Chinese nationals with a history of involvement in fights and drug trafficking.
In mid-February, another person was injured with a knife during a fight at the same venue in Badalona. The injured person was taken to the hospital. The Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan police) found holes consistent with bullet impacts in the ceiling of the music bar and opened an investigation. The Criminal Investigation Division (DIC) of the North Metropolitan Police Region has taken over the investigation to clarify the circumstances of the shooting and homicide that occurred early this morning. The judge has ordered the case sealed.
