Ten fire brigades are working to extinguish a forest fire in Paüls

PaülsTen fire crews are currently working to extinguish a forest fire in Paüls, in Baix Ebre. The alert was received just a few minutes before eleven this Thursday morning. Among the activated crews are members of the Forest Action Group (GRAF) and the Forest Active Prevention Team (EPAF), as well as a water-dropping helicopter.

The emergency services are already operating on both flanks of the fire in the forest area, where the strong wind blowing may hinder extinction efforts, according to the Firefighters. In Paüls, there was already a large forest fire in July 2025, originating in the Barranc de l'Infern, burning about 3,321 hectares, 1,125 of which were within the Els Ports natural park.
