Shooting in Badalona: a fight ends with four injured, two of them by firearm

BarcelonaNew firearms confrontation in Catalonia. This afternoon in Badalona there was a fight that ended with four injured. Specifically, for reasons that are still being investigated, there was a confrontation that left two men injured by firearm, another injured with a bladed weapon, and a fourth who was injured by a blow to the head. At the moment, as confirmed by the Mossos d'Esquadra to ARA, none of the injured are critical and their lives are not in danger. According to the Catalan police, the events took place on Marquès de Montroig street.

The police force has opened an investigation to clarify the causes of the confrontation.

At least 29 injured in half a year

With these two new gunshot victims, the number of people who have been shot this year in Catalonia already exceeds the number of gunshot victims registered throughout 2025. Specifically, as of now, in 2026, at least 29 gunshot victims have been identified in the first six and a half months of the year. In contrast, 2025 closed with 28 gunshot victims in twelve months.

At the beginning of June, the city of Badalona also experienced two shootings. One of them left a 10-year-old girl slightly injured when a stray bullet hit her arm. In this case, the Mossos were working with the hypothesis that the shooter's target was not the minor, and they believe the events were related to drug trafficking.
