ValenciaIntersindical Valenciana (STEPV) has denounced the budget accompanying law and Article 155, which calls for "ensuring ideological neutrality in educational centers, supervising that teaching activities, curricular materials, and school events remain alien to any kind of indoctrination".

According to the organization, this article "violates the basic laws of academic freedom, child protection, linguistic rights, and clearly perverts the spirit of what educational inspection should be" and points out the Valencian government's desire to turn the educational community into "a repressive and censoring body".

"Political police" and "inquisitorial process"

From Compromís they have also shown their disagreement with this publication that, in addition, speaks of "accessible communication channels" for matters that "may affect compliance with educational regulations". For the party, this constitutes a "political police in inspection to persecute teachers in an absolutely undemocratic way".

"What is intended to be instilled is fear, a kind of inquisitorial process without precedent in Valencian democracy", they declare.

Regarding the mobilization of teachers

STEPV highlights that "while teachers and the educational community have staged a historic mobilization this 2025/26 academic year, the Valencian government is dedicated to introducing censorship into the educational system" and "accusing teachers of indoctrination, diverting funds for infrastructure affected by the DANA to buy fans, and refusing to provide solutions to the problems of the educational system".

It also demands the repeal of the article and encourages educational inspection, management teams, teachers, and families to "ignore this article and work to solve the real needs of Valencian public education", as well as to "incorporate this measure into the platform of demands that has motivated the strong mobilizations of this past academic year".
