The resignation of the progressive candidates Ana Ferrer and Pilar Teso's appointment as presidents of the Second and Third Chambers of the Supreme Court has paved the way for the conservative sector's bids. The General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ) has certified the appointment of Andrés Martínez Arrieta and Pablo Lucas.
