The question was posed by Josep Vallverdú in a poem, and it comes to me readily to answer with a list of responses full of gratitude to this Lleida gentleman: the good things in life are in his sustained work, in his prolific generosity with child and youth readers, in the intelligent good nature that followed him like a perfume, in the wisdom of a recent word, when he said that we must strive to have only "affections and hopes left in the closet", and that "the greater the affections, the closer hopes will be to becoming reality".

The list continues with sadness, because the death of musician Joan Roca leads me to another good thing in life, such as the music of Antònia Font, capable of composing completely unexpected lyrics and melodies, but which have ended up being embraced (embraced is the word) by the hearts and senses of so many people who have connected intimately with them and have felt understood and represented, and sheltered from so much malice, within the igloos built by these Majorcans, at times funny, at times melancholic, always very refined.

And finally, the good things, today, are where they have always been: in loving, in sharing and in giving, in silence and in conversation, in future plans, in creative enthusiasm, in seeing clearly and moving forward, in organizing our lives according to our values and criteria, in consciously saying no and consciously saying yes, in complaining little and pushing hard. The good things in life are the complete opposite of the hate speech that pollutes our lives from social networks. The good things in life have an advantage, which is that we are full of good things every day, if we look at them with good eyes.
