We read in ’ARA that Vox resorts to Catalan only in the regions where Sílvia Orriols' party is strong. They have made posters with the slogan of Plataforma per Catalunya, “First our own people”, in one language or another, depending on the market, and so on. In the provinces of Barcelona and Tarragona you will see the posters in Spanish, while in Girona and Lleida you will see them in Catalan.

Catalonia is even different in this. Mr. Garriga already showed that he is a Catalan to the core when, in an interview with David Miró in the newspaper, he said: “I want that, in a few years, my children can continue to enjoy traditional festivals, the sardanes, and that they are not replaced by the festival of the sacrifice of the lamb or Ramadan. It is not a speech against anyone, it is a speech to defend our identity”. Mr. Garriga’s children are the only Catalans who dance sardanes. The others all listen to reggaeton. I died of envy, honestly.

We must thank Sílvia Orriols, among many other things, for having managed to make fascists our own. The right-wing and Catalan singularity seems wonderful to me. I want zero-kilometer right-wingers. And once this is achieved, I find that all of them must broaden the concept of cultural substitution, which only goes in one direction: North Africans, as if there were no other possible cultural substitution. I mean that the scarecrow of the sardanes only comes out when we talk about Muslims, never when we talk about other newcomers from other areas, who in Catalan do not even think of saying “good day”. Let’s see, then, how their voting intention changes.
