Barcelona"First, those at home" is an anti-immigration slogan that became popular in the Principality under the influence of Josep Anglada and his Plataforma per Catalunya. Numerous Vox leaders, such as parliamentary spokesperson and provincial president of Barcelona, Joan Garriga, as well as deputy Mònica Lora and other members like Jordi de la Fuente, were part of Anglada's party and now feed Santiago Abascal's organization, recycling slogans like the most emblematic one. L'ARA already revealed last year that Vox had resurrected this slogan, but now it has decided to go a step further and display it throughout Catalonia with posters featuring the slogan, in Catalan and Spanish. They have created two designs that they have distributed by province.

Thus, the Barcelona and Tarragona districts will see the posters in Spanish, while those in Girona and Lleida will see them in Catalan, according to party sources. At present, one is already installed in the Zona Franca of Barcelona, which allows one to see "Primero los de casa", as well as one in Tarragona of the same style. The commitment to Catalan in Girona and Lleida emphasizes the idea that Vox has been working recently to increase the use of Catalan while maintaining the same old centralist linguistic policies. However, it has done so in a context where it wants to broaden its base in these two districts, where they have room to grow and where they are competing for a part of the far-right space with Aliança Catalana. Especially in the municipal elections.

Because Vox currently does not see that Sílvia Orriols' party can gain ground among its metropolitan electorate. But it does note that in the municipal elections there may be some competition in certain places. Where they want to expand because they are very weak is in potential strongholds of Aliança. They want to use languages naturally, although they prioritize Spanish in all written communications and present all parliamentary initiatives in this language, as they uphold the State's language, which they consider common.
