Without any extra ranges or major challenges for most of the groups, the penultimate weekend of September left us with some records that should serve as the foundation for the committed performances of the coming weeks. The Castellers de Vilafranca delivered the best performance with a double castells (human towers) again. Harmed by recent losses, the Greens took advantage of the Diada de Sant Miquel (Saint Michael's Day) to incorporate their pieces. They also completed the lined tower of eight with a few changes.

Sharing the square in Vilafranca, Marrecs de Salt and Sagals de Osona performed the classic eight-piece, although with a dismantled attempt by the Girona team at 3 of 8. For their part, the Bordegassos de Vilanova were not so lucky, as they were left with both 3 of 8 and 2 of 7.

At the end of the performance, various tests were also carried out for nearby targets. The Villafranca people have raised the 4 of 10 fm to fifths, the Salta people the 3 of 9 fm to sixths, and those from Vic a 2 of 8 fm to twos.

Cathedrals in Reus and Calella

The mid- and high-end groups were well represented in Reus with the 5 of 8 by the local children, the 2 of 8 by the Moixiganguers of Igualada, and the 7 of 8 by both groups; the first of the year for the Reus group. Both groups decided not to bring their own castles again. The Castellers of Lleida were also successful, as they unloaded the first 3 of 8 of the season.

The Minyons of Terrassa also completed the 5 of 8 in Calella, as the main construction. The Colla Castellera del Alt Maresme and the Selva Marítima had the 5 of 7 as the best castle, but the double novelty of the three and four of seven with the spire stood out.

Debut of the 7 of 8 bumblebee

The Castellers de Sants have reached their first eight-man tower of the second half of the season, and they've done it three times over, completing the three, the set, and the two-man tower. Furthermore, the 7 of 8 is the first they've completed all season.

In Esplugues, the Capgrossos de Mataró had to slow down considerably after a fall during rehearsal on Friday. Thus, although a nine-man tower had been planned, they completed the classic eight-man tower. Finally, the local group completed the 2 of 7, after leaving their last attempt unfinished. In contrast, they dismantled the 4 of 8 for the first time they'd taken it to the arena this year.
