The third weekend of May has confirmed the good feelings that were already sensed in rehearsals, with various colles taking a step forward and, in some cases, advancing schedules. The squares of Valls, Vilafranca, and Gràcia have been the great epicenters of a weekend that is already leaving the first notable milestones of the season.

In Gràcia, the Colla Jove Xiquets de Tarragona has achieved a high-voltage performance. The lilas have unloaded the earliest 3d9f in their history, a milestone that reaffirms the excellent start to the season for the lilas. The performance was completed with the debut of the 5d8, as well as a solid 2d8f and the 6-story pillar, which is already showing signs of growing one more level in the coming weeks. Those from Cós del Bou shared the square with the Capgrossos de Mataró, who completed the 2d7, the 4d8, and the 7d7, and with the Castellers de la Vila de Gràcia. The hosts scored the 3d8, the 2d8f, and the season's first 7d8. They finished, this time successfully, by unloading the 6-story pillar.

Regarding the Sant Isidre festival in Valls, the Colla Vella dels Xiquets de Valls has once again shown ambition. The 'rosados' have completed the second 4d9f of the season and debuted the 3d9f, turning the Plaça de la Església into a new stage for 9-level castles. They rounded off the performance with the 7d8 and the 6-level pillar, marking a perfect day for those from Portal Nou.

On the same day, the Xiquets de Tarragona have taken an important step forward by completing their first 3d8 of the year. They were accompanied by the 4d8 and the 5d7. For their part, the Xiquets de Reus repeated a solid performance with the 4d8, the 2d7, and the 5d7, while the Castellers de Lleida completed the 2d7, the 4d8, and the 5d7.

The earliest 2d7 of the Xiquets del Serrallo

It was an important day for the people of the fishing district, and so it has been. The Xiquets del Serrallo responded by unloading the 5d7, the earliest 2d7 in their history, and the 7d7, after a dismantled attempt. Beside them, the Colla Joves Xiquets de Valls maintained their basic 8-tier range with the 4d8, the 3d8, and the 2d7, in addition to the 5d7 and the 6-tier pillar, the first of the season. A performance that those in the red shirts repeated this Sunday in El Milà, with the same records except for the 5d7.
