The major development is that, with the recent reforms by the National Commission on Markets and Competition (CNMC), participation is now open not only to large consumers but also to SMEs with smaller flexible consumption levels. For example, if an SME had participated in SRAD in 2025 with 100 kW of flexible power, it would have earned €25,000 simply for being available, not including activation fees.
