More than 12,000 organizations already trust Som Energia, Som Connexió and Som Mobilitat
All bet on responding to their energy, telecommunications, and mobility needs and through an ethical, sustainable, and committed model to the common good
Just one year after formalizing their intercooperation agreement, the alliance between Som Energia, Som Connexió and Som Mobilitat –three non-profit cooperatives– already counts more than 12,000 user organizations. And of these, 1,435 trust at least two of the three cooperatives.
This figure highlights that the values of the social and solidarity economy (SSE) – such as sovereignty, collective autonomy, transparency, and self-management – are fully compatible with the economic viability of a business project. And not only with economic viability, but also – and above all – with social and environmental viability.
Real and measurable impact
When an organization chooses cooperative providers to cover its energy, telecommunications, and mobility needs, it directly drives a fairer and more sustainable economy. The advantage of this triple solution translates into tangible impacts on three key axes:
- 100% green energy: Through Som Energia –the largest energy cooperative in the European Union by number of members and the best rated by the OCU– entities become part of a community that produces and sells green energy.
- Ethical and human telecommunications: Som Connexió, the only non-profit telecommunications cooperative serving the entire Spanish state, offers companies specialized and close technical support. Choosing this option means assuming a social commitment based on transformative projects, such as the collective protection of data to avoid unwanted commercial calls or the promotion of responsible digital consumption.
- Electric and shared mobility: Som Mobilitat offers a carsharing service with a fleet of over 150 electric vehicles. It is a highly efficient model that becomes the ideal alternative to private cars, optimizing the resources of organizations and reducing environmental impact and dependence on fossil fuels.
The value of walking together
This intercooperative alliance, which is now celebrating its first anniversary, has collectively contributed to saving the emission of 12,203 tons of CO2 annually, the equivalent of taking approximately 8,534 cars off the road, demonstrating that the transition to a sustainable and socially just model is not a utopia. It is not only about achieving economic savings, but also about ensuring that every kilowatt, every kilometer, and every gigabyte used add up in favor of the collective.
