The PP and Nixon's sweaty mustache

A tweet from the Popular Party ironizes that Pedro Sánchez's latest interviews have been in friendly media (El intermedio, Mañaneros, La revuelta, El País) and that on Sunday he will complete the poker hand on Salvados, also considered a friend. And, on the other hand, they explain that Feijóo visited presumed hostile territory by going to Cadena SER (alas, but without Barceló) and that this weekend he will be interviewed inEl País and La Vanguardia (which are the main printed scaffolds that support the Sanchista narrative today). “The Spain without walls that we defend is also shown with details like these,” they say. All in all, of course, it makes you laugh and highlights how the current era is characterized by the ability of political parties to maintain the narrative with a straight face even when the facts dismantle it.

Ignacio Escolar, director of Eldiario.es, has been one of many who have pointed out the emperor's nudity: according to him, they have requested an interview with the PP leader since he arrived at the presidency of the party, without success. And one must also wonder if we will see Feijóo again in front of Silvia Intxaurrondo –who left him exposed, and he still hasn't recovered from the blow– or if he will hide behind the fact that she is not internal staff at RTVE. In fact, one must wonder how it is that Feijóo is dodging television as much as he can. I suppose he is aware that the inertia marks him as the winner, despite being a candidate with little charisma and little personal impact: the best he can do is not to lavish himself in infotainment formats, aware that, compared to Sánchez, he would not come off well. It is the fear of Nixon's sweat in his televised debate against Kennedy (although the episode has more of a legend than anything else). These elections, from the point of view of communication, represent an interesting clash: that of the background media campaign that the right-wing media has instigated through tension and polls against the sprint of a survivor who is betting everything on his big dick energy, as the young people say and I do not intend to translate.
