Myanmar's army killed 700 civilians in six months, according to the UN

Myanmar's civil war, far from the media spotlight, is proving particularly deadly for civilians. According to the UN, the Myanmar army has killed more than 700 civilians since August of last year until January 2026. The report states that among the 702 victims are 224 women and 153 children.
