The judge orders the reconstruction of Andic's fall and summons Jonathan's sisters and therapist
The prosecution will have to justify why it wants to access Jonathan Andic's communications or investigate the trip he made to Ecuador
BarcelonaThe judge of Martorell who is investigating the death of the founder of Mango, Isak Andic, has accepted the request of the Prosecutor's Office, which asked for a reconstruction of Andic's fall on December 14 during a hike in Montserrat, accompanied by his son, Jonathan Andic, the only one investigated for the businessman's death. On the other hand, the magistrate has summoned Jonathan's sisters (and daughters of the deceased businessman), as well as the family therapist, to testify, as confirmed by Europa Press.

The head of Court 5 of the Martorell Court of First Instance orders the Scientific Police of the Mossos d'Esquadra to carry out a technical expert reconstruction of the fall and requires that it be carried out jointly by the forensic doctors, as well as the ocular inspection experts. With all this, she wants a study of the injuries the victim had to be made to clarify what relationship there may be with "the possible dynamics of the events" and the evidence found at the scene, such as bloodstains or the marks left on the path.
In addition, the judge has also requested access to Isak Andic's medical, care, and pharmacological history, either through the Catalan Health Service (CatSalut) or through the medical entity linked to the Mango founder's health card. On the other hand, it is also requested that the identification of the two hikers who interacted with Jonathan Andic, after his father's fall, be investigated.
Furthermore, furthermore, the magistrate handling the case has summoned about ten witnesses to testify, as well as two agents from the Mountain Intervention Unit, as reported by La Vanguardia. Among this dozen witnesses are Isak Andic's two daughters and Jonathan's sisters, and the family therapist. The judge has also summoned Isak Andic's partner to testify, as reported by ACN.
Investigation into the trip to Ecuador, suspended
On the other hand, the judge halts some of the most intrusive measures requested by the Prosecutor's Office. Arguing that "the right to evidence is not an unlimited right," she suspends the investigation into the lightning trip Jonathan Andic made to Ecuador – the prosecution suggests he might have taken the opportunity to get rid of his mobile phone, but the defense claims he simply lost it –, the analysis of his bank movements, and access to his computers and other electronic devices. The magistrate will not rule on the suitability of these measures until the public prosecutor's office provides additional information.
Along the same lines, the judge requires more information before authorizing or not other measures, such as the request to Apple for data on access and geolocation of his iPhone, the examination of terminals connected to the telephone antennas in the area of the events, and the analysis of his communications, traffic records, and telephone connections.
Technical requests
The judge has also asked the Mossos d'Esquadra to provide a technical report regarding the use of WhatsAppWeb and whether the application can be used without a mobile phone, and has agreed to ask Mango for a record of the mobiles that have been delivered and received by each of the employees and the vips of the company. More specifically, she has requested a record of all the terminals that the company provided to Jonathan Andic between the years 2020 and 2025.
