Germany blames Russia for having no place on the UN Security Council

Germany has missed out on a seat on the UN Security Council, pointing to its support for Ukraine and good relations with Israel as reasons for its failure to secure a seat. "These are positions that not all member states share," said its Foreign Minister, Johann Wadephul.
