BarcelonaActress Hilary Swank announced this Wednesday on Instagram that she is pregnant with her third child. Swank is 52 years old and is expecting the baby with her husband, businessman Philip Schneider. The birth is scheduled for December. For the announcement, Swank recorded a video in which she shows her family dancing with the lights off and with glow sticks attached to their bodies. Then the actress appears with a belly to which a small, also luminous baby has been attached. In the text accompanying the post, the actress plays with the idea of a new project. "Many people have asked me what my next project is: it will come out in December," the performer wrote.

Swank became a mother for the first time at 48, in 2023, when her twins, Aya and Ohm, were born. In several interviews, the actress has explained that for many years she prioritized her career and that the path to becoming a mother was not easy for her at all. "There was my career and I didn't have the right relationship... until four years ago. All the elements needed to come together and be the right ones," the actress told the morning magazine Good morning America. Swank married Philip Schneider in 2018, two years after they met on a blind date. She had previously been married to actor Chad Lowe. After a decade of marriage, they divorced.

Hilary Swank is one of the most awarded actresses of her generation. In 1999 she starred in Boys don't cry, where she brought to life Brandon Teena, a trans youth murdered in Nebraska. This role catapulted her to fame and earned her the Oscar for best actress at just 25 years old, in addition to the Golden Globe. Five years later she triumphed again with Million dollar baby (2004), the boxing drama directed by Clint Eastwood, in which she played Maggie Fitzgerald. This second role earned her another Oscar and another Golden Globe, and consolidated her as one of the few performers who have won the Academy's top award for best actress twice before the age of 40. Between one success and the other she worked in thrillers such as The gift and Insomnia and, later on, she played roles such as the teacher in Freedom writers (2007) or the aviator Amelia Earhart in Amelia (2009). Lately she has returned to the screen with productions such as I am mother and the series Away and Alaska daily.
