La Santa: a must-see for holidaymakers on the Costa Brava

It's already a summer classic for those who spend their summers on the Costa Brava (or rather, those lucky enough to live there). This is La Santa, the market that for the ninth consecutive year is being held by the Santa Cristina Equestrian Club in Santa Cristina d'Aro. There you can eat a bikini from Jordi Roca's Rocambolesco Bikinería, enjoy ice cream, or stop by the sweets stall of the world's best chocolatier: Osona-based Lluc Crusellas.
The goal of the space is to offer activities of all kinds and for everyone. Clothing and designer item stands, music, children's activities, themed parties, shows, and, of course, a wide range of restaurants. This year you can try the offering—with an aesthetic inspired by American ranches and the TV series— Yellowstone– The Horse Club Library. It's the creation of Cañitas Maite's award-winning chefs—Javier Sanz and Juan Sahuquillo—for the occasion. There's also a space for pairing oysters and bubbly. But La Santa has a little bit of everything, as it caters to everyone. If you're looking for a Mediterranean experience, there are the grilled sardines at El Xic. And, if you're not up for much sophistication that day, you can stop at Frankfurt Vallès and enjoy one of their hearty sandwiches.
Of course, you have to pay an entrance fee. Six euros every day except Saturday, when it costs 10. Children under 12 enter free. There's parking, and you can bring your pet, if you'd like.
