BarcelonaBarça will play Albacete in the Copa del Rey quarterfinals. They are the only Second Division team remaining in the competition, and they do so precisely after having Real Madrid defeated in the previous round. This makes the tie between the Albacete team and the Blaugrana the most intriguing of the quarterfinals, which are still being played as single-leg matches. The match, which will take place on February 4th or 5th, will be played at the Carlos Belmonte stadium, as it is a lower-division venue.

"We will bring enthusiasm and courage, as we did in the previous tie," said Jefté. The striker, who scored two goals against Real Madrid, the last of them in the final minute of the match, reacted this way to the draw, which he followed remotely through the Spanish Football Federation's channels. The match between Albacete and Barça is good news for the Albacete side, as it guarantees them the best possible opponent and, therefore, they will once again have the chance to fill the stadium. The quarterfinals will feature a Basque derby, with Alavés hosting Real Sociedad at Mendizorrotza, while Betis will welcome Atlético de Madrid. Finally, Mestalla will host the match between Valencia and Athletic Club. The quarterfinals are the last to be played as single-leg ties. The semifinals will be played over two legs. Unlike previous editions, the draw has not been finalized until the final; once the four qualified teams are known, a new draw will be held. Cup Quarterfinals
