BarcelonaEaster holidays are so short that they practically shouldn't count as holidays. But if you are among those who can extend the break beyond the strictly festive days, you will surely have time to rest and also relax with a mini-series that doesn't involve being glued to the screen for many hours. To make the job easier, we recommend eleven recent mini-series that you can watch these days.

'A Better Man' (Filmin)
Time investment: 4 hours (4 one-hour episodes)
El protagonista de 'Un hombre mejor'

Fiction can be entertainment but also reflection, or both at the same time. This is the case of A Better Man, a Norwegian miniseries that delves into the world of incels and proposes a possible path to redemption and reconciliation. The protagonist is a man who trolls on the internet, threatening women and spreading hate. When his identity is revealed, he discovers what it's like to be in the crosshairs of criticism and harassment. The only way he will find to regain anonymity will be to dress as a woman and leave his home. A series that opens the debate and allows us to detect our degree of cynicism regarding the current world.

'Mix Tape' (Movistar Plus +)
Time investment: 4 hours (4 one-hour episodes)

There are loves that mark a before and an after in a person's life. This is what happens to the protagonists of Mix Tape, who were teenage sweethearts and ended up breaking up traumatically. In their youth, in the late 80s, Alison and Daniel connected through music and the compilation tapes they exchanged. Twenty years later, each with their sentimental and family lives already made, they reconnect again through music: they find each other through social networks and he sends her a song that she will respond to with another. In this way, they open a door to the past and begin to consider if a happy ending is possible between them.

'Days of Ash' (Movistar Plus +)
Time investment: 4 hours (4 one-hour episodes)

A love with dramatic undertones is also at the center of the following proposal, Ashes Days, a miniseries set in Northern Ireland in the 70s, one of the most critical moments of the conflict between Protestants and Catholics. Cushla, a Catholic teacher, falls in love with a married and controversial Protestant lawyer because he defends young Catholics accused of violent acts and terrorism. The miniseries shows the constant terror that envelops the couple, who live in a world where everything is black or white and which has no room for nuances. The cast includes Lola Petticrew, whom we met thanks to Don't Say a Word, and Gillian Anderson, who plays Cushla's mother, a woman who tries to overcome her husband's death with drink.

'Miss Austen' (Movistar Plus +)
Time investment: 4 hours (4 one-hour episodes)
Un moment de la sèrie 'Miss Austen'.

Jane Austen is one of the most popular authors in English literature. Even so, many aspects of her life remain a mystery. This is partly because her sister Cassandra, her great confidante, burned some of her correspondence. This is the event that Miss Austen explores, a miniseries that questions why the sister of the author ofPride and Prejudice made this decision. The fiction, which moves on two temporal planes, the present and Cassandra's past, is a delicate exploration of sisterly love and Jane Austen's creative nerve. The always effective Keeley Hawes (The Sin) brings Cassandra to life in her adult years.

'The Narrow Path' (Movistar Plus+)
Time investment: Approximately 3.5 hours (5 episodes of 40 minutes)
Jacob Elordi en una escena d''El camino estrecho'

Jacob Elordi, one of the actors of the moment, became known in part thanks to a series, Euphoria. Despite having a packed schedule of film projects, he still finds time to make series in his native Australia. In The Narrow Road, which earned him a Golden Globe nomination for best actor in a miniseries, he plays Dorrigo Evans, an Australian army doctor who during World War II is captured by the Japanese and forced to work on the construction of the railway between Thailand and Burma. The miniseries, based on the novel that Robert Flanagan wrote inspired by his father's experiences, plays with different timelines. On one hand, we see the suffering of Evans and his companions at the hands of the Japanese. The other main thread is the protagonist's memories of his love affair with his uncle's young wife, Amy (Odessa Young), whom he meets just before going to war. Finally, the protagonist's life years after the war is also shown, when he is already an older man and a doctor of recognized prestige.

'The Danish Girl' (Filmin)
Time investment: 6 hours (six one-hour episodes)
La portagonista de 'La dona danesa'

This black comedy is one of Filmin's latest releases, where it has been very well received. Its peculiar protagonist is a former Danish spy who moves to Iceland to enjoy her retirement. Ditte, however, cannot help but remain an elite soldier even though she is technically retired, and her particular character becomes evident when she starts to meddle in the lives of her block neighbors. From her point of view, she is simply helping to make the world a fairer place, but her highly questionable methods cast doubt on that. A series that may appeal to those who enjoyed The Manager, the Argentine comedy from Disney+.

'The Heist' (Prime Video)
Time investment: 6 hours (6 one-hour episodes)
Una escena d''El robo', protagonitzada per Sophie Turner

The skyscrapers of the City of London are the first image of this thriller with a breakneck pace and a good dose of plot twists. What seems like a normal day at Lochmill Capital, a firm dedicated to managing pensioners' investments, turns into a nightmare when a gang of violent robbers bursts into the offices with a very specific demand: to transfer a millionaire sum of money to unknown investment funds, in other words, to steal thousands of pensioners' savings. Under pressure from the robbers, Zara, one of the firm's employees, is tasked with carrying out the heist. This makes her one of the main witnesses in the case, which is being investigated by Detective Rhys, who, in turn, has gambling problems. In addition to being a powerful thriller, The Heist is an opportunity to once again confirm that Sophie Turner, the Sansa from Game of Thrones, can be a very good actress.

'The hack' (Filmin)
Time investment: 7 hours (7 one-hour episodes)
David Tennant a 'The hack'

One of the most talked-about media scandals of recent years in the United Kingdom is the mass espionage practiced by the newspaper News of the World against celebrities such as Hugh Grant, Sienna Miller, or Jude Law, by tapping their phones. The hack, starring David Tennant and Toby Jones, recalls the case by explaining two of the linked true stories: on one hand, the work of Nick Davies, the journalist who gathered the evidence of the illegal activity of News of the World, and, on the other, the police investigation into the murder of Daniel Morgan, which in 1987 had remained unsolved. The creator of the miniseries is Jack Thorne, co-responsible for Adolescència.

'Portobello' (HBO Max)
Time investment: 6 hours (6 one-hour episodes)

The new miniseries by veteran Italian director Marco Bellocchio focuses on Enzo Tortora, a member of the Radical Party but much better known as the presenter of a hugely successful television magazine show in seventies Italy, the titular Portobello. In 1983 he was accused of being part of a Camorra organization dedicated to drug trafficking and, despite the absence of any evidence, was imprisoned and tried. It wasn't until four years later that his innocence was proven, but by then he was so ill that he had little time left to live. Portobello of the title. It wasn't until four years later that his innocence was proven, but by then he was so ill that he had little time left to live. In her review of the series, Eulàlia Iglesias said: "With the pace of the best contemporary series, Portobello also recalls those early television fictions, almost always set in interior locations, in which first-rate screenwriters and actors of theatrical origin dedicated themselves to the creation of the best possible television fiction".

'Something terrible is about to happen' (Netflix)
Time investment: 8 hours (8 episodes of one hour each)
Camila Morrone a 'Algo terrible está a punto de suceder'

Theoretically, a wedding should be one of the happiest events in a couple's relationship. In the case of Rachel and Nicky, it looks like it will be one of the most terrifying events of their lives. The Duffer brothers, creators of Stranger Things, produce this horror miniseries that follows a couple during the week before their wedding, as they settle into their parents' forest house where the wedding is to be held. Rachel has no mother, because she died, and her father has agoraphobia. Nick, on the other hand, comes from a rather well-off family with a certain fondness for taxidermy. In the days leading up to the wedding, Rachel experiences all sorts of strange sensations and even receives messages warning her not to marry her partner. The two lead actors are Camila Morrone (The night manager), Daisy Jones & The Six) and Adam DiMarco (The White Lotus).

'Love story' (Disney +)
Time investment: 9 hours (9 one-hour episodes)
Una imatge de la sèrie 'Love story'

It has been one of the most talked-about productions of 2026 so far, and it's understandable. Love story is an addictive soap opera, a fictionalized account of the tragic marriage between JFK Jr. and Carolyn Bessette, who died in a plane crash along with her sister. They were one of the most representative couples of the 90s, true style icons who, thanks to the series, are back in fashion today. Beyond the controversies generated by the opinions of some of the real-life characters who played a role in the story, Love story has allowed us to discover Sarah Pidgeon, who with her interpretation of Bessette becomes a strong candidate to win the Emmy for best actress in a miniseries. The creators of the production have already announced that the anthology miniseries could continue with an installment dedicated to the marriage of Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton.
