This coming Easter, beyond the usual processions and getaways, a unique opportunity opens up for lovers of history, art, and ancient civilizations. Viatges Eurovacances offers various cultural trips, always guided from Barcelona and in groups, that invite you to discover the world through a different lens: that of a curious traveler seeking to understand, feel, and learn.

Between Europe and Asia lies Azerbaijan, the fire of the Caucasus, which surprises with its contrasts: the medieval palaces of Baku coexist with the futuristic architecture of Zaha Hadid and the volcanic landscapes of the Caspian Sea. A destination that blends modernity and ancient traditions, perfect for those seeking an experience off the beaten track.

In the middle of the Mediterranean, the jewel of the Dodecanese, Rhodes. The medieval walls of the old city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are an impressive testament to its historical heritage. The Grandmaster's Palace, an emblematic monument of the city, transports visitors to the era of the Knights of the Order of St. John, and its beaches offer an idyllic setting of crystal-clear waters and golden sand. The history of the famous Colossus of Rhodes deserves a special mention: although it cannot be seen because it was destroyed by an earthquake around 226 BC, its brief existence left a lasting mark as a symbol of the artistic greatness and technical ingenuity of ancient Rhodes. So much so that it is considered one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.

And now we travel to the heart of Europe to discover Slovenia from its capital, Ljubljana. A visit to Trieste, an architectural gem, is a must. As is discovering Lake Bled, where we find the only island in the country, and also Lake Bohinj. Slovenia is a young country, which hides some of the most impressive caves in Europe, the Postojna and Skocjan caves, UNESCO World Heritage sites. Here you'll be amazed by the rock formations of its underground networks.

If you want to immerse yourself in history, Cyprus is also a very good option: straddling East and West, you can explore the island in seven days. The adventure begins in Limassol, a coastal city where the old port blends with modern promenades, elegant shops, and lively terraces. You'll discover Paphos, an archaeological gem and World Heritage Site, where legends come to life: according to mythology, Aphrodite was born from its turquoise waters. You'll discover Nicosia, the only capital city in the world divided between two states, and explore Salamis amid the rubble of amphitheaters and Roman ruins that tell stories of a splendorous past. And all this coinciding with the celebration of Orthodox Easter, an emotional experience difficult to describe.

Tunisia, from the Mediterranean to the Sahara

Still anchored in the past, with the Tunisia tour that runs from north to south, from the Mediterranean to the heart of the Sahara Desert, you'll discover its historic cities, Roman remains, and the most striking landscapes of the Maghreb. You'll tour the medina of Tunis, also a World Heritage Site, discover one of the most impressive Roman sites in North Africa in Dougga, and, on the way to the desert, reach Tozeur, an oasis surrounded by palm trees and known for its cinematic landscapes. From here, you'll visit the picturesque mountain village of Midas, with its spectacular natural canyons, and cross the fascinating salt lake of Chott el Djerid. In Matmata, you'll discover the troglodyte houses carved into the rock, a unique example of traditional Berber architecture. Further south, you can relax on the island of Djerba, with its fine sandy beaches, lively markets, and Mediterranean atmosphere. And on the way back north, you'll stop in El Djem, home to the majestic Roman amphitheater, one of the best-preserved from the ancient world. The trip ends in Monastir and Sousse, two coastal cities that combine historical heritage and maritime charm, with their whitewashed medinas and fortresses.

The latest offering from Eurovacations, which has offices in Barcelona, Granollers, and Girona, is very close by. Nestled among limestone cliffs, this canyon is a paradise for nature and photography lovers, where every bend in the river reveals perched villages, ancient bridges, and breathtaking viewpoints.
