A waiter was convicted for stealing the mobile phone of a man who had died in the street.

The Barcelona Provincial Court has sentenced a member of the Catalan police force, the Mossos d'Esquadra, to one year and one month in prison for keeping the iPhone and AirPods of a man who died in the street in Santa Coloma de Gramenet in 2021. The officer has also been barred from serving as a police officer for the same period.
