The Spanish government approves the reform of the health framework statute that eliminates 24-hour medical guard duties

The Council of Ministers approved this Tuesday the preliminary draft of the reform of the framework statute for healthcare professionals. The text eliminates 24-hour medical on-call duties (limited to a maximum of 17 hours), reduces the maximum weekly working hours to 45 hours, and incorporates new measures to combat temporary employment.
