Municipal sources indicate that the victim was homeless, and that the police are investigating the circumstances of his death. The man was in his 50s, who was sleeping on the streets and died of knife wounds, according to sources with access to the case.

The Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan police) received a call around 7 a.m. that there was a person in the street and sent patrols to the area. When they arrived, they found the man showing signs of criminality, the police force explained. Therefore, a natural death has been ruled out, and the investigation has been handed over to the Criminal Investigation Division (DIC).
