Health withdraws about twenty slimming products from the market for containing an unauthorized substance

The Spanish Agency of Medicines and Medical Devices (AEMPS) has prohibited the sale and ordered the withdrawal from the market of all copies of about twenty slimming products because they contained sibutramine, an active ingredient suspended in the EU due to its association with adverse cardiac effects.
